The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) reaffirmed on Wednesday that serving members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) are not expected to pay for healthcare services at all government hospitals and designated health facilities nationwide.

“The Federal Government has registered every NYSC member to benefit from its programme tagged Health for all 2030,” the Katsina Stat NHIA Coordinator, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Dabo, told corps members as part of their ongoing orientation course in Katsina.

According to him, “no corps member is expected to pay money in any government hospital or clinic or any designated healthcare provider to be examined or get treated for any ailment.”

He explained further that registration for corps members in the insurance programme is done at the accredited health care facility or clinic closest to their places of primary assignment.
